2014 ASCA Fellow Annie Stein to speak at 2015 Women In Coaching Clinic!
De Anza Cupertino Aquatics Coach Annie Stein has committed to bringing her knowledge and leadership experience to the 2015 Women in Coaching Clinic. During her tenure as an internationally ranked distance swimmer, Annie excelled not only in the pool, but also as a leader for her teammates. At the University of Michigan Annie was the Vice President of the Michigan Student Athlete Advisory Council. After graduation, Annie joined the DACA coaching staff where she has excelled on deck coaching athletes to the elite levels, both locally and on the national stage. Over the years, Annie has never lost her passion for working as a leader in the governance of our sport and has contributed as a volunteer at the zone and LSC levels. In 2014, Annie was named an ASCA (American Swim Coaches Association) Fellow and researched the role of Leaders and Leadership in American and International Swimming.
Today, Annie is continuing her research for ASCA and continue to move to the top of Pacific Swimming Leadership. Annie will be presenting her findings about coaching leadership from the ASCA fellowship at the 2015 ASCA Convention . We look forward to hearing her story and getting introduced to the ways that we, as coaches, can advocate for our athletes, teams and self!
